More on our ADD awareness project at the Techvibe Massive Tech Conference And Expo. Techvibes has offered us a table at their show at a greatly reduced price, thanks Mike!

Luckily for non profit groups like us on a low budget, we have recently got some sponsors to donate some prizes to raffle off for our table at the show.

Jeff Hamilton of PBC Incorporated here in Vancouver has generously offered to donate two, count em, two 5 user site licences of his companies organizational software, team Headquarters, an enterprise web based operations and analytical tool, combining project management, help desk, document management, resource management etc. Each one is valued at $5,000. So hopefully a ten grand give away might get our non profit Vancouver Adult ADD Support Group’s table some attention.

ADD in technology awareness event

The Vancouver Adult ADD Support Group that I lead will be having a table at the upcoming Techvibes Massive Tech Conference And Expo at Science world March 30ht in Vancouver to promote ADD Awareness and our group. Unfortunately Canada is about 5 or more years behind the US when it comes to ADD awareness. 85% of adults with ADD don’t know they have it and as Dr. Ed Hallowell, author of Delivered from Distraction says “If you manage ADD properly it’s a gift, but if you don’t it can be a curse.”

ADD Strengths, the beginning.

This blog will be about attention surplus condition, more commonly known as attention deficit disorder, ADD or ADHD. We don’t have a deficit of attention, we attend to too many things.

I have ADD, I’m an Adult ADD Coach with a 100 page + ADD Resource website (can you say hyperfocus?) who leads the Vancouver Adult ADD Support Group in Vancouver BC, Canada.

I’ll be posting news about ADD, links to other ADD websites and blogs I find useful and interesting, and my thoughts about various aspects of ADD and coaching.
