CNN Adult ADD article struggling to focus

CNN just wrote a good article on adult ADD, giving a few personal examples of some of the struggles associated with having adult ADD, and some ways of dealing with it.

Dr. Edward Hallowell, who has written books about ADHD, said a rapid-fire lifestyle can actually be a good thing for maybe half the people with attention disorders — such as Eddy — because they can easily shift from task to task.

“When they get stimulation they get adrenaline and adrenaline is nature’s own stimulant medication. Chemically, it’s very similar to Ritalin,” he said.

I’ve noticed many adults with ADD seem to gravitate to high stimulation jobs, emergency room doctor/nurse, marketing, sales, hi tech, etc. A much better way of self medicating than some other ones.
