3978 Unique Visitors in 1 Day. Wow, There Are a Lot of ADDers in the High Tech World

by Pete Quily on February 10, 2006

Wow. Digg rules.

Instead of the usual hundred or so unique visitors to this blog, I’ve gotten nearly 4,000 (3978 to be precise) today, because of my post Top 10 Advantages of ADD in a High Tech Career. I emailed out to a few people and put it out to digg.com 20 hours ago (have 253 diggs already) and got massive traffic today.

I was #5 on diggdot.us a cool site combining Digg, Slashdot, and del.icio.us/popular and on the front page of both Digg and del.icio.us/popular reprinted on Chris Pirillo’s Lockergnome website.

I guess there are a lot of ADDers in the high tech world. Seems that most appreciated the article.

Went down to his podcast of the Chris Pirillo Show at Take Five. Talked to Monique, James, Ponzi and Kris there and a few others.

I was one of the people interviewed in his podcast done here tonight in Vancouver (to be posted later). We had a good talk about ADD. He’s a very interesting guy who thinks he has ADD and there’s reason to believe so. Look at how many blogs websites/podcasts/ ezines he does. Only an ADDer would have the energy and creativity to create and sustain all of those.

(hey, please keep my email invisible as you can… thanks!)

Just read your text on Lockergnome and got to think of something. I’m an aspie (Asperger’s syndrome person) and I relate to around 8 of those 10 items you stated there. Is there any relation? BTW, unemployed right now and pretty lost about what to do, and most of it due to Aspsyn, which will never be valued where I live…
