Desk toys for the hyperactive ADDer

Office Playground has some cool toys for people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder who want to burn off some of that excess hyperactivity with movement and be entertained at the same time. Thanks to Lew Mills for the tip.

Check out the stress relievers, balls (stress balls), magnetic toys and Zen rock gardens and more.

Zen Rock Gardening is an ancient stress relieving activity. Zen Gardening helps clear the mind of the chaos associated with everyday business life.

I lived in Japan for 3 years in Sapporo on the Northern Island of Hokkaido. I remember visiting the Zen rock gardens of Kyoto and found walking in them amazingly peaceful, serene and an indescribable source of calm and presence. They drained away the stress and replaced it with inner peace and conscious connection.

In Vancouver, we have the Nitobe Japanese garden and the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden for a taste of Zen and calm. They’re great to visit to tap into that state of inner peace.

People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder tend to have race car minds, very fast, very powerful and sometimes prone to overheating. Even the best race car needs time to rest, relax and recharge. What do you do on a daily basis to add a bit of calm to your race car mind?
