UPDATE: the News 1130 AM Radio store is online here
When I started this post we had 24 libraries in 6 BC cities. Now 20 minutes later, we have 26 25 in 8 cities. Amazing.
26 libraries committed to ADHD book displays, but just found out one library I delivered our posters and support group brochures to had unfortunately forgotten to display the ADHD books, they just put up the poster, so 25.
The hardworking, creative, energetic volunteers of my Vancouver Adult ADD Support Group and I have gotten a great response to our requests for ADHD book displays with our ADHD Awareness Week poster in libraries and bookstores throughout metro Vancouver, BC, Canada for ADHD Awareness Week October 14-20th.
We’ll have an ADHD Information Table at the popular Roundhouse Community Center in Vancouver’s Yaletown the first day of ADHD Awareness week, tomorrow, Sunday from 10am -5pm. We’ll have ADHD brochures, some ADHD books and myself and volunteers of my Vancouver Adult ADD Support Group to answer some of your questions on ADHD. Drop on by and say hi, maybe tell your friends, colleagues and family members that may be curious about ADHD about it.
Maybe pick up or download our ADHD Awareness Week poster and put it up in your neighbourhood at appropriate places or at your workplace to help get the word out.
26 libraries in in 8 lower mainland cities in BC will have ADHD book displays with our ADHD Awareness Week posters. Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, North Vancouver City, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and Aldergrove. Also 4 Chapters bookstores and Odin Books will have ADHD book displays and our poster.
See the whole list of ADHD Awareness Week Events to find one near you.
Perhaps take a photo of one of ADHD book displays and our poster if you get a chance in the libraries and bookstore, (please don’t have any people in the picture, unless it’s you and you’ve gone public with ADHD) and I’ll blog it and put it on the groups webpage.
Maybe let your twitter and facebook followers know about this event. Or any local bloggers or reporter too.
