CADDRA the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance will have their 2nd annual ADHD conference in Toronto, ADHD: Essential Knowledge for the Healthcare Professional, Educator & Parent.
I went to their 1st one in Vancouver, and it was well worth it. This one will be at the Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel 801 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario and will be 3 days instead of the previous 2.
The first 2 days is for professionals and is fully accredited, although everyone is welcome, the 3rd day is for educators, parents and adults with ADHD, though professionals are also welcome.
Unfortunately the 3rd day, the general public day there will only be 1 session devoted to adults with ADD, our local ADHD clinic chief Dr. Margaret Weiss author of ADHD in Adulthood : A Guide to Current Theory, Diagnosis, and Treatment, will be talking about ““Understanding Adult ADHD & What Strategies are Useful” all the other session will be focused on children and teenagers with ADD. Hopefully those that attend that want more than 1 session on adults with ADD will let the organizers be aware of this.
Speaker include
Dr. Kathleen Nadeau, author of ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life, and Understanding Women With AD/HD
Dr. Timothy E. Wilens, author of Straight Talk about Psychiatric Medications for Kids, Revised Edition
Dr. Thomas E. Brown, author of Attention Deficit Disorder: The Unfocused Mind in Children and Adults
