However Frustrated You Feel With Us, We Are 10,000 Times More Frustrated With Ourselves.
“We often fail. It’s a difficult thing to get used to: failing at everyday tasks, several times a day, every day.
No matter how frustrated you are when I have failed you, I am always beating myself up about it 10,000 times more than you ever could.
I am raw from these self-inflicted wounds.
Your frustration is just fuel to the wildfire of frustration that’s already raging within. Because the thing is — it’s not like we aren’t trying our hardest.
We try our hearts out every day. And we still can’t measure up.”

We are quirky; we are busy; we are distracted and distracting. We are game-changers in a world that wants cookie-cutter predictability. And when the world is upside down, we are the scientists that can save your COVID-ravaged self, the artists who write comical ditties and deeply inspiring poetry, the outside-the-box (naturally!) thinkers who teach your kids with whatever we have available. We are constantly rejected or at least inordinately picked on for our differences, and yet the rest of the world would languish without us. And still, with such super empathic skills, we want to heal the world, bullies and friends and all.
