Part of #ExplainAdultADHD. A campaign to reduce the ignorance, misinformation, and stigma against adults with ADHD.
Shame, Guilt.
“When I screw up again, when I let someone down again, I feel guilt and shame and I want to cry.
I feel guilt and shame that it has happened again and I haven’t fixed the problem.
I wish I could just explain, and be believed, and not have it used against me.
I wish you knew what I was thinking, what I was trying to do. It looks like I don’t care, but I do.
And now I bury these thoughts and try again.”
